COOKIE:

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of the procedures and to improve the user experience of the website itself. Below we provide detailed information on the use of cookies and how to manage them.

Definitions

Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and / or numbers) that allow the web server to store on the “client” (the browser) information to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the single browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone etc.). Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, transparent GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to gather information on user behavior and use of services. In the following of this document we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply by using the term “cookie”.
For further information, refer to the page dedicated to cookies by the privacy guarantor [IT].

Types of cookies

By visiting this site you can receive cookies from both the site visited (“owners”), and from sites managed by other organizations (“third parties”). The presence of the latter involves the transmission of cookies to and from the sites managed by the aforementioned third parties. The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant information to which reference is made.

Based on the characteristics and use of cookies we can distinguish different categories:

  • technical cookies: used by the owner and operator of the website, for the sole purpose of ensuring normal navigation and use of the site, allowing to distinguish between the various users connected in order to provide the required service after login, and for security reasons site. Some of these cookies are deleted when the browser is closed (so-called session cookies, such as the cookie that shows the scientific information), others have a longer duration (such as the cookie necessary for the preservation of the user’s consent in report on the use of analytical cookies, which lasts 1 year). For these cookies, no consent is required;
  • analytical cookies: they are used by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site. They are similar to technical cookies if the service is anonymized.

Consent performance

At the first access to the site, a banner containing the brief information is shown; clicking OK or browsing the site itself, the visitor expressly consents to the use of cookies and similar technologies, and in particular to the registration of these cookies on his terminal for the purposes indicated above, or to access through cookies to information on his terminal.
