From June 17–19, Berlin will host the 57th Joint Annual Meeting of the German Society of Internal Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DGIIN) and the Austrian Society of Internal and General Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (ÖGIAIN), one of the most important scientific events for intensivists and acute care specialists in the German-speaking world.
This year’s meeting brings together clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advances in intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, organ support, and extracorporeal therapies.
We are pleased to support the industry-sponsored symposium:
“Endotoxic (Septic) Shock and Polymyxin B HemoAdsorption: why and when”
which will take place on Thursday, June 18, from 13:00 to 13:30 in Hall Bernstein 1–2. The session will be delivered by Prof. Sascha David (Zurich, Switzerland) and moderated by Prof. Jan Kielstein (Braunschweig, Germany). The symposium will explore the scientific rationale for endotoxin removal and discuss the role of Polymyxin B hemoadsorption in the management of patients with endotoxic septic shock.
Interest in precision medicine approaches to sepsis continues to grow, driven by increasing recognition that septic shock is a heterogeneous syndrome requiring targeted therapeutic strategies.
We are proud to contribute to this important dialogue and look forward to engaging with German, Austrian and international experts during DGIIN/ÖGIAIN 2026.
We hope to see you in Berlin!
